What were you doing on the internet back in 2000?
Replies
hahaha I had a webzine hosted on Geocities with my best friend at the time :D I was also really into talking about Buffy on some random AOL message boards
lots of irc
opendiary.com (so trashy now)
first learning about torrents
napster
not very much, i was a freshman in college so i was talking to all my newly found classmates on AIM, stealing music with the glorious T1 connection i had, and watching newgroudns and other stupid video sites.
God, I swear I had to be doing more on the internet during then... maybe not... hmm...
i was not nearly as crazy as i am now, constantly checking numerous websites and my email and blah dee blah blah. i didnt even own a digital camera at that point.
playsite.com (which apparently doesn't exist anymores) more for the chat rooms than games. and rocking on the ICQ.
I wasn't on the internet.
After college, I didn't actually have internet access until I moved to SF.
I first got internet in late 2000 and I spent most of that time building a Geocities site and very slowly downlading Pavement songs from epitonic.com.
Writing stuff!

Also visiting http://www.dailyradar.com/ for video game news, even though I didn't have a video game system then.
I think I'd stopped using ICQ by then, so it was probably just downloading songs using audiogalaxy.
@Apostle: if that's not a euphemism for something already, I predict it will be by the end of the day.
"You've been in the bathroom for over 45 minutes! What's going on in there??"
NOTHING! I'm updating my Xanga.
Blogging on OhHello/envy.nu
Meeting cute boys on MakeoutClub
Making webpages about Momus
Setting the groundwork to ruin my life through the power of the web.
