A student walked into class late today as everyone was taking the quiz. They looked up at the clock and said, "Started early today, huh?" I said, "Class starts at 4:20." They said, "It's 4:36." I said, "Yes, it is." They rolled their eyes and said, "Whatever."

@ Oom Mao Mao - I always thought that'd be the brilliance of teaching at University. You fail? Your problem. Make your lessons as great as you can and hope they want to attend them because you're inspiring them to do better. Besides that, there's not much else you can do.

fuz: Yeah, but there is a country club atmosphere here, and if I suspect correctly where oimoi might be teaching, there as well, I would wager.
But yes, you screw up, too bad. Someone pointed out to me last night that there is a list called the differences between high school and college that you should make freshmen read.

kmon: I guess it is, but there is a lot of whining and the freshmen have to make the transition as described in the differences sheet above, and some of them just aren't prepared or have no idea.
