group work and find the oldest guy in your class, like 40 something years old, because he's so fucking old and probably hates himself for still being in school that he'll try his best to get a good grade, even if that includes doing a kick ass job all by himself
you sit back and coast
Maybe just team up with two or three confirmed workers; that way the team dynamic is tighter and you won't have to worry so much about somebody slacking.
If my overall course grade wasn't tied to my participation in the group work, I would coast.
Who am I kidding - I'm the old guy in class, and I need this A more than the rest of them. Get off my lawn!
pick out a group of really hot college chicks, that way, if you get a bad grade, maybe it was worth it.
go with the group, if you're not into solo research it might be a disaster.
also, I loooooooved research methods.
@WN - See, I'm getting into psychology to help people through therapy, not do research, not even to teach. Why do I need to learn about this crap?
paully - that can be said about 50-75% of the classes you take in college though, at least the ones i was required to take. they like to make you a "well rounded" student. what they dont realize is that its a waste of time and money.
I don't think that's true--the whole point of college is to get you to think differently and approach problems from different angles.
Paul is still stupid.
@MUP: it's good for you to suffer a little, you'll take it out on patients later.
@jules - i agree, but i didnt need to take intensive accounting to do anything with logistics. some of it is a GREAT thing. but when my curriculum requires me to take more NON major general education classes than classes actually ABOUT my major, then its a little suspect to me.

I'm in a Research Methods class. We have to do a research project, one that I'm not looking forward to. I HATE doing research for stuff like this.
Now, I can do this in a group or alone.
I HATE group work - somebody always slacks or goes against the grain of the rest of the group. But I really don't want to do this research and experimentation alone.
Which crappy choice works best for me?
