Weird instrument appreciation thread

Theremins RULE. Occasionally I see those little self-assembly theremin sets in the electronics store and I consider it.
@sound of snowsuit - Yeah...me too. One of these days I'm going to break down and buy one.
I am such a mandolin fan. But, what I would really like is a Fantasy Machine, or Sonic Manipulator.
Also, I am so, so, so incredibly happy this photo exists.
@bold as love - I expected Navin to come in here and say that, but I haven't seen him for a couple of days. :)
awww, i have a ukelele too! also, to contribute to this thread, i have an old antique zither from the 1800's as well.

Excellent work, guys. Knew I could count on you.
@ginger - if you get one, let me know. I would be your agent.
When Pagne was looking at banjos I wanted to get a mandolin, I can't afford lessons though :(
And besides I have a violin that's gathering dust that I should pick up ever now and then. *sigh*

Last week, I learnt to play the ukulele. Well, I learnt one Jens Lekman song.
Now it's making me want a banjo or a mandolin. What are you favourite weird instruments?
