Tonight, I was hanging out with some swell ol' high school friends. One of the girls mentioned that a dress in the window was incredibly sexy. My friend Adam replied, "It's not the dress that is sexy. It's the woman that is sexy." I really love that he said that. It made me feel happy.

It's probably the "woman/dress/observer-of-woman-in-dress" triad which is sexy. I mean, after all, it's entirely possible that person A wearing dress B is sexy to observer C, but that person A wearing dress B is not sexy to observer D.
Cramming all observers into one equivalence class seems to be a dramatic oversimplification (although cramming all women AND observers into an equivalence class is worse -- and darn crowded, too.)
I go home now.

Why? He was probably just saying it for brownie suck up points.
