I think the Republicans are screwed. Obama hit all his points and brought it home.

I have renewed faith in him. Though, I'm not sure that I agree that our culture is the envy of the world.
Totally! It was a great speech and I got a little teary eyed. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
@bold: don't say that too loud! remember, that's what got michelle obama in trouble.
i saw art tonight instead of watching/listening to the speech. i think my time was better spent.
@H55: I'm registered independent. I was 18 when I was stupid enough to vote Bush, and I'll be damned if I vote republican again.
@H55 - I don't even have to click that to watch it. That's that clip of the white lady in the mumu saying she won't vote for Obama because he's a muslim, right? I saw that with my dad who voted for Bush the last two times, and even HE was horrified and repulsed.
@Corey - Maybe not THE envy, but I'd say at least top 3. :-)
@Booknutdc - I got a bit choked up during his bio video. It looked like they got Ken Burns to make it for the intro part.
@Bold as love - Goddamn right. We've finally got a Dem who isn't going to be a chump.
@jasasian: exactly that one. the "I've had enough of that Hussein heah." Jon Stewart and I had the exact same reaction: Jack Daniels, in copious amounts.
I'm really excited for this election. It may sound cheesy, but I'll be proud to vote for him.
Awww, Brian Williams just said, "I'm really sad Tim Russert wasn't here to see that."
@Erica - well, I guess you're really excited about your city being overrun by Republicans this next week then, eh?
I like him, but I can't bring myself to expect the general population to do the right thing and elect him.
I actually am somewhat excited for the convention, just because it's a change. It's really close to my apartment, and the part of town where it's based is usually dead. So I think it will be fun to have lots of people just...around.
I'm sure it will also be a pain though.
I think the presidential debates will only serve to better Obama's position.
Young voters are the key. If all that shows up on 4 November are the same old voters, we're gonna get the same old results.
Man, the excitement is contagious...even the CNN, MS-NBC and ABC coverage is just besides themselves.

Every time I think that, I watch this: http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=168561&title=Indecision-2008---West-Virginia
And I remain downtrodden.
