Sam Rockwell Zaphod Beeblebrox for Galactic President
You never said AMERICAN President.
also erin call marry and tell her to add me to her damn team =P
President Harrison Ford (from Air Force One). He's very hands-on about the War on Terror.
You all flunk. The correct answer is:
President Lindberg, Galactic President. Played by Tiny Lister.
The Fifth Element. Come ON.
Frank Langella when he does Nixon.

I could never vote for a president who couldn't even beat Hulk Hogan.
Best President in any form of TV/Movie is Jed Bartlett played by Martin Sheen
Seconded on Jed Bartlett, even though he did have Lindburge from Office Space for a veep.
I have to go with Smart- tea on this one! Dave was the best. He and Charles Grodin balanced the budget in an afternoon!
We will not go quietly into the night!
We will not vanish without a fight!
We're going to live on!
We're going to survive!
i said movie on fucking purpose because i didn't want this to be a west wing circle jerk
WAY TO FAIL AT READING PEOPLE
Not sure about best but honourable mentions need to go to Donald Pleasance in Escape From New York and Peter Sellers' Merkin Muffley in Dr. Strangelove.
Personally, in contemporary terms, I'm a bit of a fan of Michael Douglas' President Andrew Shepherd in The American President.
Brian Keith's portrayal of Theodore Roosevelt in The Wind and The Lion is really great, I'd be inclined to go for that. Or Abraham Lincoln in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
By the way, any Bartlett fans who still wants to elect Martin Sheen remember you can instead opt for his role as Greg Stillson in The Dead Zone, where he initiates nuclear holocaust because Jesus tells him to in a dream.
@ TwigBy - so does that mean I can't say Rosalyn on BSG either than? What about President Balthar?
Rosalyn is crazy as shit. But Balthar is a full craftsman ratchet set.

Morgan Freeman in Deep Impact
seriously, i'd vote for Morgan Freeman
