I will not ever get tired of watching the highlights of the NY FOOTBALL GIANTS superbowl victory. What will you never get tired of?

That was pretty much the only football I have ever watched in its entirety. It was well worth it since I was in NY at the time, and gettin back to Queens afterwards was interesting.
I dont know if I've ever been more excited by a game I wasn't playing in at the time. We even popped a bottle of Dom in celebration.
@skanko: It was a memorable night. I was in a shitty mood, but at a happening party. Didn't know a fucking soul there except for one, but we're not really buddy-buddy.
If it wasn't for that football game, I know I would have had much worse night.
The only time I enjoy watching football is the Thanksgiving Detroit Lions game on the years when the Lions beat the living hell out the best team in the league. Then I hear about them losing to the one team actually worse than them the next game by an equally embarrassing margin.
@fiz - i like the thanksgiving day games, except for the past few years most of the teams in them havent been very good (with the execption of the packers last year, and i dont count the cowboys because i hate them). but it DOES make sure that i don't get stuck watching my little cousins hannah montana videos. thank god.
I don't watch football.
But I'm 9-1 in my Madden HB's first season with the Pats. I'm slowly building a rep, but Tom Brady has such a boner for Randy Moss that I'm still largely overshadowed and underutilized.
Made my first 70-yard rush a couple nights ago though... that's always fun.
nice johnny nice. hows hte superstar mode in this years? i havent played one yet, ive just been struggling with the ridiculously harder self-adjusting ai.
I'm curious, Skanko: how do you feel about the team quickly playing second fiddle to the Second Coming of Brett Fav-ruh? (And, hey, I don't think he's worth half this much fucking attention, for the record.)
@oz - i see a party and a lot of the backs of peoples heads. i call SHENANIGANS!
@art - honestly, my father is a huge green bay packers fan, and always has been, so i really respect brett favre, ive seen way too many of his games, i think what he did to them makes him an asshole. not that he came out of retirement, but that he did it to them 3 times and really screwed a promising young qb out of a shot. and i dont know why all these people are saying that the jets are now overshadowing the giants, i heard one day of jets hoopla and then it was gone again. it hasnt been super in-your-face yet, so i don't mind it. BUT, i like my team flying under the radar so to speak, i hate all the haters that come around when a NY team is all of the sudden given too much respect.(that being said, the current power rankigns with the giants at #6 are bullshit, they are the champs until someone beats them thats how i look at it)
It's alright... if you've played the NCAA one for this year it's pretty much the same... if not I haven't played EA football games since '05 so I wouldn't know how to compare it to older ones.
My only issue is with the audio. Apparently they thought superstar mode should be exclusively from the player's eyes [and ears], so you don't hear any commentators aside from the robotic stadium announcer, and other than that all you hear is player gibberish [Watch the ball, watch the ball! Blue 42, het 20 HET! Yeah baby, that's what I'm talking about!] and the usual crowd screams.
No music, no commentary, just the game. I've ended up just playing music from my iPod through the X360 dashboard, but it's not really the same.
re: Brett Favre, I think his chapter's coming to a close. He's getting older, he was with Green Bay for so long, he's got to come to a new team with all new rules. Like I said, I don't watch football, but I think he's far past his prime.
its still right where you left it. slightly above new jersey. or at least above where i live in new jersey. you can always go back.
@johnny - i think ncaa this year plays more like madden than this years madden. if that makes any sense. im not sure how i feel about this years yet. yeah that audio in the superstar mode is the same as last years and the year befores. i dunno superstar is ok, but it gets boring sometimes. i wanna see how i make out online though, maybe there wont be as many fucking idiots out there this time.
I like being in a place where I didn't fucking matter. Well, I don't matter how here either, but at least in NY I know. I keep giving myself silly notions that my presence matters out here.
*cuts wrist*
Enough emo, back to futball!
I'd avoid online till they get a patch out... there's a glitch in one playbook where you can snap it and it'll immediately be in the receiver's hands. It's near impossible to stop and apparently there's folks that'll just do it all game.
And yeah, I know what you mean...something feels weird in Madden. It's obviously got different developers than NCAA so the game is pretty different, but compared to my Madden '05, NCAA 09 feels as it should, like a Madden game four years newer, except with the college feel. Whereas Madden 09 just feels like a completely new game, and not necessarily in a good way.
It's a mix of cool new features and older features that are like "What the fuck?" now.
I don't like the VR practices, or the 40 yard dash/weight lifting training, or the new score/down/timeout HUD, or the stupid giant helmet the players run out of before every game.
@Oz - Odd, I miss it because where I lived, I was one of a population of like a thousand. I'd kill a man to live where I know everyone.
i saw part of that old gregg thing for the first time 2 weekends ago. it was pretty damned funny.
they need to get that Mighty Boosh show on a cable channel here or something.
I don't even think BBC America shows it.
bbc america might possibly be my favorite channel on tv, even if its just because top gear is fucking teriffic.

im pretty sure that every game this season (just like the preseason pre show im watching right now) will open with highlights of their amazing playoff upsets. AND I WILL LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT.
