@tatere- it's just dollar store paper so it's relatively thin and weightless. I thought about covering the bottom and going around the battery case, but it gets so hot, already, that I decided against it. Maybe when I find a nice felt, or moleskin, I'll do crosscuts or pads or something.

@Corey: Yeah, I did this in about a 1/2 hr last night. I thought of going around the edge but that would be really labor intensive, even with my drafting skillz. I think 2.0 will have an even bigger circle. Or maybe a ring of a contrasting vinyl around the apple. It wasn't too much work or $, so I like the idea of peeling it off, chucking it and changing it as it suits my mood. Much better than those "skins" they sell online for $20!

@bluefish: I used the rounded corner of one cutting mat on top of another, so it wasn't too bad. Next time I'll just use the corner die I have for paper crafting, I was just worried about gunking it up with adhesive.

I might get really girly and embellish it with birdies or flower stickers, now that I have a safe base to work on.

Man, I really should have come over this weekend. We could have done all sorts of crafts. Still haven't decided what to decoupage on the table. Sigh.
