OH MY GOD TINY ANTS IN MY BED.
Replies
Gah, that happened to me last summer!! I woke up to fire ants on my hand, and the pillow next to me had so many on it that it appeared to be moving.
I constantly have ants swarming all over my sink.
That doesn't sound strange, except that in typical bachelor fashion I never cook, never have any dishes, basically nothing ever goes in or down my sink except for water.
the ants aren't attracted to food, it's dampness they're after.
so it makes sense that they'd be near the sink.
if your apartment is humid they will be anywhere. i had this problem a few years back- some natural repellents include alcohol (it erases their scent so they don't follow one another around) and cinnamon.
i found that illegal chinese ant chalk and a dehumidifier worked best.
Alcohol you say? Does whiskey work?
Naw, I wouldn't want to waste perfectly good whiskey.
just clear them out and spray their path with a little rubbing alcohol.
in my experience, this is effective temporarily. sprinkling cinnamon at their entry points is the same.
really i had the most luck with the poison chalk. :(
Pepper, when my nana dies, would you like to be her replacement? You're the only other person I know that has the answer for EVERYTHING IN LIFE! ;]
man, this thread has more comments than I thought it would. I'll definitely that rubbing alcohol thing. I don't want my bed to smell like alcohol, though. Oh well, better than gross little ants.

I don't eat in my bed. But it is by a window on the first floor.
