Melvins - they're awesome.

I can't say that I am familiar with their output very well, but the songs that they were playing were fantastic.

King Buzzo looked positively weird with his trademark afro and dark suit.

Well, actually Big Biz sounded a bit like Karp, but their lead singer was...umm...I don't know, I thought that the band would be better off without him. He actually looked like bigger version of Joe Preston, for some reason. Oh, well, he probably sounds way better on record.

Anyway, um, I recognized one of the songs - it actually sounded a lot like Karp with guitar sounds that reminded of...well, I don't know - the sounds of flesh ripped out of the song's body, I s'ppose, hehe. The song is called "Grounds For Divorce" and check it out on their MySpace page.

And before Big Biz, there was some other band who played for about 15-20 minutes or so - a mix of power electronics/noise and guitar stuff.

And then there was a giant fan onstage, which reminded me of the stories that I heard about Venom and bands like that and it was a bit funny.

So it was Jared Warren on vocals, apparently - I liked him better when he was in Karp and I think that he was a lot thinner back then, but whatever.

I mean, you're not gonna top Karp. . .but BB are still better than Tight Bros

While I still heart Murder City Devils better, Big Business is badass and Cody's drumming makes the Melvins even better.
