i'm shocked at the amount of clout kevin smith has, love the guy but with each sucessive movie making marginal cash it makes you wonder. its probably because he works on the cheap but whatever.

@twigby: he talks about that a lot in his evenings with series. it has to do more with the fact that his movies are cheap to make, but get a high return on investment. they might only make $17 mil (after DVD sales) but they only cost $7 mil to make. studios are willing to back his movies because they've all turned a profit and they sell a bunch of dvds.
