Yes, this is my comedy show. I did it last month, and it went really well. Maybe it will go as well or better this month? This remains to be seen. Anyway, this is the lineup:
NICK KROLL Nick started doing comedy in New York, where he worked extensively with John Mulaney. He was later selected for Montreal's Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. A regular at the UCB, Nick has been seen on VH1's Best Week Ever, and was a regular on ABC's sitcom Cavemen.
BRENT FORRESTER Brent Forrester's writing resume includes some of the past two decades' most acclaimed TV comedies: The Simpsons, Mr. Show, King of the Hill, The Ben Stiller Show, and more. He's currently a writer on NBC's The Office. His boundless enthusiasm and lifelong dedication to the craft of comedy make his rare live performances well worth seeing.
CRAIG ANTON Veteran comedian and actor actor Craig Anton's recent TV credits include The Office, Tom Goes to the Mayor, and the Disney Channel's Phil of the Future. Alongside Ron Lynch, he's the co-host of the Tomorrow Show, and half of acclaimed sketch comedy show The Idiots.
ERIN FOLEY Erin Foley started her career in New York. A two-time performer at the Montreal Comedy Festival, Erin has also done stand-up on Comedy Central, and her acting credits include HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm and the film Almost Famous.
TONY MOSCHETTO Horse Fight is proud to welcome Tony Moschetto to the West Coast. A native of Boston, Tony headlines shows across New England, where he is widely respected as a true "comic's comic". He's appeared on Comedy Central, and also once grew a 67-pound pumpkin.
MATT MANSER Known for his sharp writing, Matt is a native of Michigan. He's currently the co-head writer of Big News, IO's popular news-themed sketch comedy show. Matt also lives across the street from me, and may be trying to start some sort of feud? I hope not. I don't like feuds.
LAUREN ASHLEY BISHOP A native of Arkansas, Lauren started doing comedy in Chicago before moving to Los Angeles recently. Sometimes she wears a bee costume on stage, but I don't think she's doing that on this show.
Hosted by ERIK CHARLES NIELSEN That's me. I started doing comedy in Boston, took some time off to go to graduate school, went back to comedy when that didn't work out. I went to the Aspen Comedy Festival in 2007, and my credits include "The Erik the Librarian Mysteries" on 60frames.com and the History Channel's "History of the Joke". Erik is excited to bring five minutes of new material to the stage for this show, including a bit that he's done three times so far and received four applause breaks for, and an extended joke about butterflies.
All of this stuff happens at the R Bar in Koreatown. The show is free, but it is 21+. The bar requires a password for entry; as the flyer says, the password is "nobody puts baby in a corner".
