Do you all think it's possible for them to fix everything by the time I need to move in? Or should I haul ass and try to find a new place to live in the next 24-hours? OR WHAT?!?!!
I hate being an adult and having to make stupid real-life decisions that SUCK.

HOBOism sounds SO GOOD at this point. Or really, just couch surfing until the end of time. I know a lot of rich people, so I have some nice couches to crash on.

Do you know anyone you can stay with until you have time to look for a new place?
You could always do what I did and live in a hotel for a week. But it usually only works if you don't have any furniture :[

I wound up getting them to write an addendum to the lease and they're going to completely remodel the place in the next ten days. I sure as fuck hope they can get that done. I'm already crashing at one of my babysitting client's houses while they're out of town, and then I'll be in New York till the 11th, so I really just need to find someone to stay with the 11th-14th, and I've had tons of friends offer to let me crash with them.
I can definitely say that through all of this mess, my friends have been the most amazing people I could ever ask for, and I feel incredibly lucky to have them in my life.
I was supposed to go sign the lease on my new apartment this afternoon, but I hadn't seen the actual unit, and insisted on doing a quick walk-through before I could hand over any more money or sign anything.
First of all, it was supposed to be hardwood all throughout, and instead it is the most disgusting carpet I have ever seen in my life. Plus there were all these cracks in the walls, most of the baseboards were missing, light fixtures were missing, the kitchen sink had no knobs, all the grout in the bathroom was completely black and moldy... it was the most disgusting place I've ever seen.
My lease was supposed to start on the 10th. I leave to go to New York to help with my sister's wedding at 6 AM on Wednesday, and don't get back till the 11th.
I CANNOT HANDLE ANY FUCKING MORE MOVING STRESS!!!!!!
