I've discovered that a rather obsessive, and unexpected, love of gardening is helping me re-acclimate to Australia. For the past month I've been gradually terraforming my backyard. Any green thumbs (or other bits) out there?

I'm trying to get a new tree through the summer, so far it is not going very well.

@Eva - I'm not growing anything at the moment. I've boosted the soil a bit and I've covered everything in plastic to help the mulch break down and kill off the weeds. Once the weather warms up a bit I'm gonna go crazy with planter boxes full of herbs.
