My date last night lectured me for being too self-depricating. How am I suppose to react when he keeps telling me I'm doing everything wrong? lol I mean really.

... Throwing water on him sounds like it could've worked.

@ABoyNamedArt - You know it was tempting. However, my car was back at his place, so my escape route was a little too complicated.

Been there done that, but honestly, if you can't make fun of yourself, then who can you make fun of?

other people.

It is so much easier to judge other people than to judge yourself. I think if right off the bat he decides to point out all of your flaws, it might not be the best match for you.

You should have someone complimenting you and talking about better subjects, like commonalities and how he can't wait to see you again next week. Etcetera. IMO.

yuk. don't date a lecturer!

also, DON'T DATE! get a dog and a fish and a pony. you'll be set.

also, my advice capabilities are limited.

@little p - I have a dog. I've just been a pushover lately when people ask me out - I go out. haha I'll try to be less of a pushover and avoid the lecturers.
