I work at University of North Texas so I will be going there due to the insane discount I receive. I will be studying Music History and Literature. UNT happens to have a really good music college so it all works out!

UNT is very good at that stuff. Poli Sci happens to be a dept. there I'm sympathetic to.
How is Denton generally? Is it really as cool as everyone says it is?

@ashok: I am born and raised in NYC so Denton is a far cry from cool to me. I will say that it is a lot less offensive than I thought Texas would be and it is a bit charming.

@Jewls - I mean, I have friends up here in Jersey who are into bands like Rilo Kiley and the Weakerthans so Fishboy is something they go gaga for.
Off-topic: I lived in Dallas for several years. I love the diversity of restaurants there.

@CT: I'm into all kinds of music. I would like to concentrate on Ethnomusicology. I want to study how music has helped to build civilizations.
