Yeah, between both maps of yours, I've heard of maybe three of the bands listed. And Ennio Morricone.
But I'd posit that the more mainstream you get, the more accurate the results will be.

Well, its almost accurate for ZF and Swans - with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 bands/performers.
