When was the last time you did something that scared you? Today, I bought a bathroom scale.

I would totally trade with you. I'd much rather talk to kids than deal with my belly.
When I moved up to doing an 80 lb military press. With 40 lbs in each hand and nobody to spot you, you just have to hope you make it through the set. First set is no sweat. Second is a little uncomfortable. On the third though I feel like I'm about ready to drop one of them on my skull.
Last year, climbing half dome was really scary. But that was only because half dome has killed three people.
As for the last time, I did a radio interview for IEEE Spectrum.
I'm about to sign up for the CrossFit Running and Endurance Sports Certification, but that's not as scary as the December Cert.
CrossFit Level I Certification. Camp Pendleton, California.
Nothing like getting your ASS handed to you on a MARINE CORPS base. In December. Maybe I should punt it for another year. Especially since I have ARMY dog tags, so they'll be extra mean to me.
actually, i've done something that scared me almost every day since i moved. i suppose i wouldn't have it any other way. but today's was particularly scary.
every monday i go play soccer, and i'm always scared starting out the game because everyone is a lot better than i am. but i'm getting better and the people i play with are super encouraging.
Okay, I went running. 2.2 miles, though in all honesty I walked about half of it. I'm not exactly afraid of running, it's more like a hatred thing. But I did it anyway.
sarah: that is great
And if you keep up with it, you will be running past all of these people going, "don't worry, I have been doing this for months, do not compare yourself"
Keep up the good work!

Um, tomorrow I am helping 25 girls gain their Puzzler Badge. I have a vague idea of how I'm going to do this. But really I just want to run away screaming... Man, I love day camp!
