@dann - It wasn't a horrible break up. I actually drove to Gulfport Mississippi to see him back in March, so we're at least on friendly enough terms for that [he had just gotten in from Iraq]. Ha I can just imagine my drunk ass stumbling in post-bachelorette party or post-wedding reception and being an idiot.

You clearly already know which way you want this to go. The real question is whether you're going to actively choose it, and probably be happy with the outcome, or hope that he chooses, and run a big risk of not liking the outcome.

@centro - Hah, the problem is - I don't really have any other options in lincoln. I have plenty of places to sleep an hour away - but post-bachelorette party I don't want to drive an hour tipsy.

i'd say stay with him then. It's never a good idea to get behind the wheel inebriated.. You've already hung out with him and it was fine, right?
I'm sure my answer won't be popular. Without specifics i'd say it's a bad idea. I'm sure there is a reason he is your ex..
