Not quite what I was looking for.

Alright..so what are you looking for?

Any kind of tutorials?

Sharon said, (41 days ago)

Ugh. I know how to draw.

Stereotest said, (41 days ago)

Because I think that conceptart is good for inspiration, but its mostly for advanced artists, even though they have tutorials section somewhere.

I just wanted some suggestions of WHAT I should draw tonight.

oh, i just can't wait to see what you come up with.

how about.... a self portrait.

Stereotest said, (41 days ago)

Well, ConceptArt is good for inspiration, but I already said that.

Nevermind.

I would love to see some cars or something like that, hehe.

Try this out: The White Rabbit chasing the Big Bad Wolf, a girl with a third eye, and the Monkey King.

@artschooled - http://www.flickr.com/photos/heiny/2681019055/ if you're interested.

@Stereotest - Yup. I did that one for a friend based off his favorite picture.

That's cool - line quality and anything.

It looks unfinished for some reason, but its no biggie - face is done right, as far as I can tell.

Sharon said, (41 days ago)

It's just a sketch. I don't really spend more than half and hour on stuff like that.

Stereotest said, (41 days ago)

Me - I can't draw anything that's even remotely realistic.

I can do cartoonish stuff, but actual figure drawing process is just frightening.

i miss figure drawing. i should take a community education course just to refresh

Sharon said, (41 days ago)

@El Indio - I've been contemplating taking some art classes again - just through the JC here. Get my chops back up so I can rock a graphic novel when I graduate.

well you can do my homework... thus far: self portrait in line, 24x36, abstract of nature object in tone, 50x60, copy of a master painting where you insert skeletons, 38x50, landscape in tone, 24x36. well those were the big projects thus far. other suggestions: draw one artist's work in the style of another, draw your face without a mirror or photo, touch only and as a blind contour, draw both of your hands intertwined in line from direct observation without dropping your pencil.
