@Val; I was living here and there around SF with friends, etc. Last week I finally gathered up the last of the stuff I had left scattered around the Bay. And then I found this place! It's only five minutes from work.
I will be living in Oakland, on Park St. just off of the 580 (the limbo that isn't quite Lake Merritt/Piedmont/Ghetto) in a glorious 30s or so 4-plex. ~900 square feet with hardwood floors and a garage. The kitchen is smaller than I would like but, not a kitchenette by any means.
I will have a house warming thingy. A Sparten one, perhaps, with my lack of furniture and whatnot.
I think, also, that they allow dogs. Which is great because I have been without one for two years now.

Most importantly, of course, is all the help I've gotten from n0mi. Who has let me stay at her place for the last 3 or 4 months. She has somehow managed to NOT strangle me in the night...thus far.
