So I went to the acupuncturist for the first time in my life. I was there for three hours. The craziest thing happened.

I laid there covered in sweat while he kept putting cold compressed on me and doing trigger point stuff for faintiness.
so like, 30 min later I got up, feeling better, went to check out and make follow up appt- then I fainted again.
he kept me in for 45 min after that.
that whole office is full of the nicest people ever.
I go back on wednesday
@super- yea, weird huh?
well, i'm in a ton of pain. like, it's some amazing upper back and arm pain, and the needles were really making my muscles angry.
and also- when he asked me what i had eaten today, i had to be honest and say "nothing"
i totally forgot.
it's been a crazy day, and my arm and back and knee have been really distracting. i haven't even felt hungry
Acupuncture is the only thing that works for a lot of various conditions for me. I haven't ever fainted though! My acupuncturist is also one of the nicest people I've ever met.
Is this the first time you've ever fainted?
@emily- actually, embarrassingly no. I am a random fainter. i think it happens 2/3 times a year- but it has been increasing.
so, i was all like, "please don't get upset guys. this happens every now and then for no reason."
i fainted at my friends house last year while we were talking on her staircase- i fell all the way down the stairs and landed with my head on the wooden floor.
I was in the emergency room all night.
it's like, my blood pressure drops down to zero for no reason.
but maybe regular acupuncture will actually cure it!
anyway- i like it. i'm getting as much as possible.
4 lilP :
somethings are more than what we are.....
soft as wind and twice as amazing as you know you already are....

i got what seemed like 40 needles in my back, neck, shoulders, base of my head, and right arm for like 30 min while i was face down.
Then i had some needle-work done while sitting up.
I was really feeling it, i like it. it felt very effective. Then I fainted.
