Overheating and powering off is my computer's way of telling me I've been playing video games for too long.

When it happened last night, I was freaked out!

When it happened just a minute ago, I was only slightly angry.

It's a laptop.

Play in the nearest walk in freezer.

@corey, what kind of laptop is it? You might want to try a cool pad, or some kind of stand to keep airflow on the laptop. It's not good for a comptuer to overheat often.

@dann: toshiba satellite m115. Last night was actually the first time this has ever happened.

I used to play WoW on the laptop and never had problems!

i knew i could never be a good influence on you.

Ziiiiinnngggggg said, (55 days ago)

@corey, perhaps it needs to be 'aired out' or the games you are playing are just taxing the system to much. I used to have a toshiba satellite a75, and it was notorious for overheating..

@dann: I was only playing counterstrike for like 6 hours. Come on!

I can't play Company of Heroes if my laptop has been on for too long. The heat makes it tired. If I play after it's been off for a while, it'll be supersmooth, though.
