I used to despise Radiohead with every fiber of my being. Then I realized they weren't bad and went through a month-or-so-long phase when Radiohead was all i listened to. Now I'm just meh about them.
Also, I think Simon & Garfunkel suck, and I'm pretty sure nothing will ever change my mind about that.

For the longest time, the only Yo La Tengo songs I knew were the slow, vaguely folky ones. So I thought of them as a pleasant but kind of low-energy band. Then I actually listened to an entire album.
