Ugh, I find that pretty sick. I am not into violence against women (or symbols thereof) as entertainment. :-(

Seriously though, you NEVER did Barbie torture as a kid? I think it's a bit more of a play on that than a symbol of violence against women.

@Salomea, you must REALLY hate King Kong.

Where did you find this? It is glorious!

Salomea said, (180 days ago)

@Dimpy: Nope, but I read about it and honestly the idea of it really freaks me out. Actually, my sister used to bully me when we fought by taking my various dolls or stuffed animals and kicking them or throwing them down stairs. I just really really hate the idea of (non-consentual) violence against someone or something as a means of pleasure.

I gotta tell you, I'd back up a little from anybody who showed this kind of thing off. Seriously, homegirl had to be *naked*? Couldn't they have her put the lotion in the basket?

Hahaha. Awesome.

Hahahaha, funny.

huh. I didn't really think of this as an image of violence against women so much as the classic cannibal-explorer-pot joke. I was more amused by the little trolls as cannibals than anything else.

Of course, I'm currently reading about Magellan's voyage, and there's lots of stuff in there about cannibals and sailor's fear of them, so that's where my head is at.

Yes, it would have been perfectly acceptable if it had been a Ken doll.
