Does anyone else remember using this relic?

bwahahaha, I once downloaded it onto my work server and crashed the whole thing. Wichita has no idea how close it came to not getting a newspaper the following morning.
Aw, c'mon, be nice to the old fella. He may have been a bit ugly, and a bit gimpy, but he was faithful.
And better than AIM back then.
The few times I used it, I just got annoyed at all the cutesy little noises.
It helped me almost get my first internet girlfriend. It'll always have a.....place in my heart.
@ Art - yeah, I remember him fondly, also. Kind of like a first bike, I guess.
I only stopped using ICQ in the past six months. I realised there were a total of two contacts on my list, both of which were people I either talk to regularly in person or never talk to at all. So I convinced the one I talk to to switch to Google Talk and that was the end of my ICQ usage.
ahahaha i used this thing for a LONG time. but for me, it was way after irc lost it's novelty.
I think the best thing about ICQ was that it wasn't full of AOL users. Until AOL bought it.
I would get bored at my job in college and watch the cat tail furl and unfurl. A guy I knew would make a sound effect, "Whiiii-cha."
*sigh*

Oh dear lord. Yes, I remember ICQ. That was from the era of geocities chat rooms and first discovering mIRC.
