Hena, I think you're probably the dream of every geek-turned-banker in Lower Manhattan.
You just need to find one that looks good in a green jerkin and has pointed ears.
Haha you really think so?
Honestly, I'm not into Link sexually. I am, however, into Ganondorf sexually.
So, vaguely Middle Eastern stereotypes that are evil, jacked, and have skin conditions that turn them green.
Got it.
I am playing this game for the first time right now! I purchased it from Virtual Console.
Oh Mike, I'm so happy for you!
Did you get Twilight Princess? I'll let you borrow my copy if you promise to give it back to me.
Give me a few months until I actually start working. I'll see what I can do.
Is Twilight Princess worth playing? I've also purchased Wind Waker---that game is extremely unrewarding. Let me narrate my Wind Waker experience so far:
- A giant bird drops a girl in the forest.
- I get a sword and fight only five guys to rescue the girl.
- The bird kidnaps my sister!
- I spend weeks and weeks climbing a tower with no weapons to rescue her.
- I finally get to the top of the tower and the bird knocks me off!
- A talking boat rescues me.
- I turned the game off and haven't gone back since.
So I hope Twilight Princess is better than that!
Wind Waker is actually really rewarding to finish. The classic Zelda elements are all there, it just takes a few levels before you realize what you're doing, thematically.
And in retrospect, Twilight Princess was GOOD, but not GREAT.
I found Twilight Princess to be more GREAT than GOOD. Possibly better than Ocarina of Time.
Majora's Mask though... WTF?
Mike, you have to play Ocarina of Time before you play Wind Waker. Doing it the other way around won't be as emotional as it would be the right way.
I'll agree with you in terms of gameplay and mechanics. The game itself was just designed better.
What separated OoT from the rest, I think, is the story. It just completely hit home in a way that Twilight Princess never did.
Majora's Mask....I almost think it is more a bastard stepchild of the series than even Zelda II. Certain parts were fun, but the game was just ludicrous.
Ocarina of Time's story was amazing. It had bits and pieces of everything and it was such a great adventure.
Twilight Princess was like that also, except Midna was so much better than Navi. And it was a shorter game.
My complaints about TP are few, but I'll throw just one out there: the final boss(es). Yes, I know, he's a badass, and most every game out there requires a 4-stage final boss fight.
But none of the stages had anywhere close to the grand majesty of the final OoT battle. Or even the final LttP battle.
Link to the Past was one of those games that I beat with like 2 or 3 cousins passing the controller. That definitely goes into my "supreme nostalgia" bin.
Sometimes I like to sneak up behind my roommate and make the scratchy/whispery Midna noises. He does not appreciate it.

SURELY I JEST
