Carlo, None of the items you picked out for me were in stock! So I improvised and purchased the Urban Outfitters versions of the same type of clothing I always wear. Above are:
- Dark brown, checked pants.
- A grey striped short-sleeved shirt.
My boss thought it was very "smart" (which means something different---but positive---in her culture). Another one of my co-workers liked it and pointed it out to everybody else.
So I got self-conscious and vowed never to wear it again.

It's too bad:
- Being the center of attention at the office made me so uncomfortable that I promptly left the room after being complimented and didn't come back until everyone was distracted.
- The only person I want to impress is lost to me forever!
