Guess what? -j. is coming to San Francisco!
Replies
There a a few people who's email addresses I don't have, so if you think you should be invited, holler at me.
Wooo! I'm coming to San Francisco again too.
We will meet and have beers and go to the zoo and pick on the lions. Okay? Rock on.
@Ghostie- Really? When? I'll admit, I've always been curious to meet you someday.
@Ghostie: Picking on the lions is fine. Just stay the hell away from the tigers. They're ornery.
Is Jamberry on GTI? She needs to come to this, and I don't have her email.
@Sarah: She is on GTI occasionally. But I have her e-mail and phone, so I can just forward the evite.
Mizsarah - I'll be in Berkeley for uh.. a while being taken care of by Joshie ponybear while my boyfriend decides if he wants to still live with me or not. Starting on the 9th I guess. Good times.
@Ghostie - the party's on July 13th. You should absolutely show up. At the very least, you'd meet most of the SF consumators in one shot.
I should have mentioned earlier, it's also a party for Kmonster. She's recently home from Japan. And she's even cooler in real life.
mizsarah: I'd love to come back to the Bay Area. Just need a jobby-job.
Art: Seriously, -j. posted a photo right when consumating closed shop.
I has it.
But I'm upset; -j. AND katymonster? And possible Ghostie? This should be one helluva party.
Who posted that earlier under my name? I was AFK.
What are we talking about again?
@Art - Actually, I was thinking of just handing out blank yellowboxface masks to everyone at the door. Then we all get to be anonymous.
p.s. It's not that long a drive. Why don't you come too?
Sarah: Thanks for the invite, but it's probably not a good financial call on that specific weekend. Although I *do* get paid two days later ...
Ha! That's a great idea with the masks.
Be a bit awkward with the food though.
arghhh! I was going to try to make it up there for his visit, but I'm not sure it'll happen. :o(
What if I showed up and read excerpts from Atlas Shrugged, Ghostie?
It's a TEA party. So I can do a Canadian and Japanese theme, you see. And also so I don't have to feed 40 people dinner.
Man, you don't want to miss any event that mizsarah is hosting.
If only to get to sit on the vaginal loveseat.
But there is much, much more.
Oh. It's a tea party? Amazing. I've never been to an actual tea party I don't think.
Canadian tea party? What's that mean, mint in the front and sassafras in the back?
Art: You know how much I would loooove that.
I suddenly want to come dressed as TS Eliot.
@Art - NO Ayn Rand. I have standards. But we can arrange for nerdy boys and girls to read e e cummings and recite Browning if that will get Ghostie to show up.
Ghostie, can you part your hair that decisively? Dude kept his pretty close-cropped.
e.e. cummings? Heck with that; I'd rather read some Gil Scott-Heron.
I'd rather *write* the poetry, truth be told. But that's my own ego at work.
slight derailment: Monkey, I own a Sonic Screwdriver!
Art: It's better to leave poetry to the professionals, I think. Although your verse might be heartfelt, cummings has that slightly salacious edge and is the best writer of sonnets in the 20th century in the English language.
I stand by my original point. Like it or not, there's women out there who wouldn't know ee cummings from kd lang.
If heart isn't gonna get it done, Aartaud, I ain't gonna do it. But you know me -- straightforward to the last.
If ee cummings doesn't work, you can always use the sonic screwdriver.
Art: I don't think you can top stuff like this for the wooability.
i like my body when it is with your
body. It is so quite a new thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body. i like what it does,
i like its hows. i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones, and the trembling
-firm-smooth ness and which i will
again and again and again
kiss, i like kissing this and that of you,
i like,, slowly stroking the, shocking fuzz
of your electric fur, and what-is-it comes
over parting flesh . . . . And eyes big Love-crumbs,
and possibly i like the thrill
of under me you quite so new
It depends. I'm willing to forgive a lack of familiarity with classical lit if she's enthusiastic about other subjects. You know, like Ayn Rand.
I KEED, I KEED!
Aartaud, they're only words. If the woman doesn't fancy me, that's all they're gonna be.
ONLY WORDS?
Um. Well, some women need a bit of convincing to fancy a boy. You know, just to make the situation interesting.
Then again, I may be biased since I overly rely on words to woo women.
Aartaud: I rely on *my* words and *my* actions. Because, ultimately, if the woman wants to date ee cummings, then I wish her luck with that seance.
*Sigh* Can we get back to talking about the party?
Hm. Anything going on near summer's end? Another escape up there might be doable for me. Of course, I'd need to stay at a hostel, but them's the breaks.
If a girl likes kd lang, why are you hitting on her at all? She don't like boyz.
Happy happy dance party!
The cool people need to start visiting the Midwest. It's kind of lonely out here.
It has always just been sort of ambiguous too me.
But guess, what? I'M in the midwest right now and I'm cool, right?
I'll be in Chicago in early November.
I like the Midwest.
corncornstuckeyscorn
K: A conference, although a Midwest meet would be great.
Maybe not in November though.

And there will be a party.
