I started my summer research seminar (ENG 400) yesterday...
The topic is "Elizabeth Graeme Fergusson, William Smith, and the Development of the Print Public Sphere in Eighteenth-Century Pennsylvania."
The prof basically flat-out told us that we were going to be bored out of our minds and going to have a ridiculous amount of work that will be almost impossible to complete in five weeks.
But he also gave us permission to make fun of everything we are assigned to read in class.

No offense to you Jocelyn, but this is EXACTLY why I despise your school. There are a lot of good people there but there are way too many people who will say things like what you just described. It makes me shudder.
