I've had more than one friend swear by that proactive shit.. but the problem is you have to keep doing it, FOREVER... and it's like $60 for 60 day supply.

I had bad acne all over when I was a teenager. The over the counter stuff did nothing. Nor did the cream the doctor gave me (Retin-A). It wasn't until he gave me Accutane that it started going away....but that stuff can mess with your body chemistry, too.

Go to a dermatologist. For most people with kind of serious acne only two things work: accutaine or antibiotics.
