scurvyman just unintentionally reminded me of how out-of-the-loop with music i feel these days. tell me stuff to listen to, pretty please!

outwith the few exciting new artists i'm listening to at the moment, i mainly listen to joy division, ella fitzgerald and the libertines these days. not listened to the libertines in AGES, though, so that's nice.
I only know who the Jonas Brothers are because I watched Dancing with the Stars. I can't say I really liked their music but I think it was because their eyebrows were too distracting.
pahaha. i only know who they are cos of popjustice.com. peter robinson is my journalistic hero.
but yeah, they're basically an american version of the now-defunct british boyband busted, who i adored when i was 13. it's like taking a trip down memory lane; they're exactly like busted except uglier.
Well, The Feeling have a new album out, it seems.
I kid, I kid. What's your take on Leon Jean Marie?
I'm quite fond of Wolfkin at the moment, but I seem to be alone in that camp.
SEE? do not know who or what that is. is it a person? is it a band? i have no idea.
I just saw Mission of Burma and they definitely sound better than whatever you have on TV/radio these days.
Mission of Burma show, that is.
And yesterday I went to Sun City Girls show - it was insane, to say the least.
Oh, beat it...
Fall Out Boy did a cover of this one.
Don't ask my why I know this, though.
the fall out boy cover of 'beat it' makes me want to beat MYSELF. in the eyes. with... pens.
And Chris Cornell did a god-awful cover of Billie Jean on his last solo album.
And...ummm....Alien Ant Farm....y'know. I better not say their name in a decent public place, I s'ppose.
Innerpartysystem also seems interesting; I'll look up more of their stuff over the weekend.
Ian Brown did a lounge-y cover of Billie Jean; sounded like midnight karaoke, but not horrible.

maybe you're just really ahead of the game and the rest of us need to catch up!
maybe. ;)
