i have secretly loved the jonas brothers since i heard they covered two busted tracks. they clearly model themselves on them, so i adore them. i have now just bought their single. should i, as an 18 year-old girl who writes for two legitimate alternative music sites, be ashamed?

I like the Jonas Brothers, too >.>
But uh, well, I'm not a music writer and I'm notorious for having bad taste in music.
Well, you could spin it like, say, an older music writer liking the Monkees, right?
scurvy: I DID A REVIEW OF A FOALS TRACK. you won't like it though, cos it's kind of negative- http://www.clickmusic.com/articles/8314/Foals---Red-Socks-Pugie.html
Is there such thing as a legitimate alternative music site? It's 2008, right?
adam: well, that is true. and to be fair, one of the sites is obsessed with mcfly. jonas brothers are like an american mcfly. kind of.
@kirsty!: hahaha! Oh, I don't really care. I've never found a source of music criticism that I don't regularly disagree with, and I like you, so whatevzzz. Anyway, that is one of my more favorite tracks on the album, but I haven't really listened to that band too much since around when I drunk IMed you about them that one time. I saw them play here a little bit after that, and they put on a good enough show, but goddamn could I not stand the audience they attracted! (I don't dislike them because of that or anything, they just have a bad mental connotation)
What are you listening to these days?
scurvy: MEH. i dunno. i feel like an old person these days regarding the fact that i don't feel 'down with the kids' anymore. i don't know about new music! however, i've been really enjoying the new mystery jets album ('young love' is genius), and i ADORE noah & the whale (who i came across playing in the middle of glasgow the other week on a sunny day- made my year!) i've also been sent some really good stuff recently: johnny flynn, errors (i think you may enjoy them) and red light company. all in all though, i'm aching for new music cos i'm just not as in the know as i used to be. sigh.

I didn't understand one word of this
