Cut in half. Brown (not sautee!) in butter or margarine on the cut side for five minutes. You'll be tempted to move them around, but don't. Just leave them be. Season with salt and pepper.
@Skanko: Wise words, my friend.
@Corey: I'll handle steps one and two (since I'm so strong and tough). You cook the sprouts.
@Carlo: It seems so easy!
I left out the obvious things like cleaning them and using a pan, because I figured you were smart enough to figure that out.
@des: So many recipes say with garlic! Is that like the most greatest thing to ever put in your mouth? (Don't answer that.) Brussels sprouts + garlic.
cilantro!
ugh. i dislike brussel sprouts. I watched a cooking show once where a parent wrote in and was like HOW CAN I MAKE MY KID EAT BRUSSEL SPROUTS and the chef showed a brussel sprout coleslaw recipe (because they are like baby cabbages) but but but I just think parents like torturing their kids.
score the bottoms with "x"s. caramelize in a non-stick pan with butter and salt. then slowroast in the oven for 45 minutes or so.
very tasty.
cabbage, coleslaw, cilantro or cooking?
maybe chef?
i don't know which c word you're talking about.
cut a few slices of raw bacon into tiny pieces, then fry these until crisp in a pan. While the bacon browns, trim the ends off of the sprouts, and pull the leaves off. Sautee the leaves in the bacon fat (or if the sprouts are small, you could just halve or quarter them, but I like them shreaded). Salt to taste, or if you're adventurous, add a few capers to the pan and fry them as well. Finish with a spritz of lemon juice or vinegar and serve as soon as they're cool enough to eat.

deep fry em. (everything is good deep fried)
