oh good. thank you for posting this topic! i'm wondering the same thing...
Still using 2.0, but I love Firefox anyway and I don't think that its creators can do anything wrong at this point.
It's pretty good. It looks less old school. The only thing I have to complain about is that they changed the bookmarking feature so now I don't know how to send new bookmarks the pre-existing folders, I have to click and drop manually.
i have a mac. i'm going to wait to install to see what more people say. because i cannot go back! i always hate updating. everytime they changed aim i would get all discombobulated.
now i have adium. much friendlier.
I love Firefox 3 on Mac, and it renders several of the pages I visit the most poorly on Windows. So I say, go for it! Some Mac users have nitpicks, like the horizontal edges of the buttons are poorly antialiased, and the drop down menus don't conform to Cocoa conventions. I say it's fucking fast, the new address bar is sweet, I like the full page zoom feature, etc.
just downloaded it. i have a mac. it's faster, i think, but i haven't noticed much difference otherwise so far.
i have a g5 power pc and a windows laptop. i've downloaded ff3 for both, and i like it much more on mac than i do for windows.
though i did have a font problem with some pages i visited but that was easily fixed when i chose a different override font.
If you have a lot of add-ons or themes, DON'T DO IT. All but three of mine have not been updated to work yet. This is a problem because I was so goddamn used to all of them. A big problem. Big enough that I'm considering a downgrade.

Uhm kind of. I'm not digging the lack of themes, though.
I really want my iFox theme back.
