the sex and the city movie made me CRY, SEVERAL TIMES. why am i such an idiot?

kind of reasonable things to be crying at:

- carrie jumping out of the car and beating big with her massive bouquet, obvs.
- when charlotte told carrie she was pregnant, obvs.
- when charlotte has her baby, obvs.

truly RIDICULOUS things i cried at:

- good lord, when carrie gives her assistant the louis vuitton bag. i cried because i would've cried if someone gave me a bag that expensive, even if it was ugly, because i'm a tiny bit (cough) materialistic. i probably cried more at this than anything else, cos i'm insane.
- at the end when they all turn up outside carrie's wedding? i cried cos i generally get on better with boys than girls/the girlfriends i do have i've grown apart from, and i really miss having close girlfriends. but after i cried about that i just felt stupid cos well, i'm a sap.

I loved the scene where Carrie takes her glasses off and she's all puffy from crying.

dimpy: oh dear, i remember looking at chris and saying 'WHY IS SHE SO UGLY' at that point. i know she's not UGLY, but y'know. she looked about seventy in that scene.

i haven't seen it. maybe i will do that.
