what is the first thing that people ask you when they meet you?

Usually something about my hair or where I got whatever jewelry I'm wearing. If they find out my name, they ask me where I'm from.
people look confused, and then stop themselves from asking a question. It happens every time I meet someone -- I can see it in their face -- then they ask a really neutral question. I would love to know what the unasked question is.
"So... uh... how old are you?"
[the awkward moment then follows where we address my voice sounds 12]
Interesting...I imagine "what do you do?" or "Are you in school" are the two most common ones (and they must vary by age). I try to stop myself from immediately asking "what do you do?' but wind up doing it anyway.
Is there anything that people always ask you as soon as they know just a little about who you are?

i don't think there is one certain thing...it varies from person to person...but the questions start flowing when they find out that i have 3 sisters and 6 brothers...
