All hostels have people that love them and people who talk about how there are no locks, showers suck, 1 bathroom for every 100 people, and they charge extra for sheets, internet, etc.
I need someone who knows! Someone cheap, preferably.

Yes. And I stayed at the Movenpick hotel.
My recommendation: Get of of Germany. It's creepy.

Ive only slept in a park, under a tree, with my backpack and a strange homeless man in Berlin. I'm sorry I can't help you!
Apparently the Circus Hostels (www.circus-hostel.de) are good though [a somewhat classy hostel, if you will], I almost stayed there.

I ended up in a Hostel called "Lettem Sleep". Reasonalbe at 17Euroswwith free internet that reaches my room. Room sleeps 7 but only 2 of us here now.
Cat hooked me up with some possible couches for tomorrow. Thanks all!

heart of gold in Mitte is wonderful.
I think it's a bit more expensive. but the staff is all lovely, and it's a new building.

Just Helsinki up so far. Been scrambling to find a good place to stay since Ifound out my roadtrip companions were heading home to Amsterdam and dropping me in Berlin because of their asthma.
