If you were my friend and I asked you to do something morally wrong, would you still do it? I'm not talking about murder here, more like steal/lie etcetera. I'd also not ask you to jump off a bridge, for the record.

depends. but saying it is "morally wrong" suggests that you're not asking us to do this for any greater or higher social purpose.
Is that why you are so godawfully sweet? So you can get me to steal for you?
Awwww....sure.
@Heraldic55: what if the greater or higher social purpose were to be my happiness and lack of resentment
like say for instance, this person did something wrong to me and they've now got to do something else wrong to fix it.
i'm being vague on purpose however. so no more explaining from me.
@electricbathduck: there wouldn't be severe consequences in this situation,
and by that i mean: no person, animal, nor vegetable would be brutally harmed by this action
@bizzchelle: you've always got my back, darlin. i appreciate the support. :)
@ladyoracle: sweet begets sweet, m'dear. that's just how it is.
yah, but would i be harmed by reputation if i were caught? and what are the odds that i would get caught? basically when you ask someone to do something for you, there is a certain price they are willing to expend for you, either monetarily or socially. and that cost must be weighed against the value of the relationship with you.
@electricbathduck: it's not actually something you'd get caught doing really. stealing may have been a bad example.
@libi loves: mine. i am pretty lawful. i'm sure a lot of people wouldn't even wink at things i would have trouble doing due to my own moral code.
Your morals or mine?
Also, I would like to post a pic of myself from five years ago, but I can't seem to find any. You might have to settle for the photo from ten years ago on Halloween.
@iceowl: mine. although, now that i think of it. this is something i could do without much regret. seeing as how it would rectify a bad situation and that it would mean that much to my friend, because it would repair our relationship.
AND that ten year hallows eve photo will suffice. i'd be happy to see it. :)
If you need me to off somebody I could see doing it. But you said no murder. I mean, if it's stealing a Snicker's bar from the Piggly Wiggly ... you're on your own.
@jon: duly noted, dearheart. not that i uh, have any plans for that or anything. *coughs*
AND if i WERE to steal from the piggly wiggly, i'd do that on my own! ha! :)
You can't see it but I am placing my finger on my nose. Just on the side. And giving you a wink.
Just how morally objectionable are we talking about? I mean, I don't have a problem with hacking into WalMart's accounting system and doing something really nasty that brings down the whole company.
And then when the millions of lower-class workers employed by Wal-Mart don't get paid, get evicted, and end up on the street, that'd still not be morally objectionable?
I think a lot of people who work for WalMart are already in that position, if not, then they're likely candidates.
I'm in the "depends" category. Generally speaking, if you want me to do something that is iffy, there had better be a good reason for it. Given that you have a really high lawful code, I'm guessing that this isn't as big a deal as it looks like from the outside.
Ultimately, however, I'm a big believer in taking the high road.

maybe. depends on the probability and severity of consequences.
