I really don't know who I'd call my boss at work. My immediate superior is a friend of mine, the person who I think is the boss of my department (I don't pay that much attention and they are always changing things) owes me a lot of favors, but he's also a shady little character who buys drugs from his employees.

my immediate boss is awesome, we share an office and spend the day listening to music and chatting. we went to see morrissey together twice, and she got me shitfaced both times. I love her!

My boss is like Tommy Lee Jones's character in No Country for Old Men. Except not a sheriff and better looking. But that character is a lot like his personality. He really likes statistics. Sometimes I wish he'd give me a performance review. Today he told me I had to write a letter to someone I didn't hire even though she's already known for weeks. And she's cool and works right near me. It's kind of evil. But that wasn't really his fault. Mostly my boss is ok.

It took me a while to come up with something nice to say about my boss but I finally got something: It's probably not his fault that he's a complete and utter moron.
Seriously. He's running an IT department. While I was off sick last week a problem came up where nobody was able to log in to maybe half of the development servers we have, and he spent a day and a half trying to work out what was wrong with them. Turns out they were switched off.
