Today I get to drive six hours through Indiana. How can I keep from going insane?

How fast are you driving? It only takes 4.5 hours to drive from Chicago to Louisville, all the way across Indiana lengthwise.
yeah, I was about to say Indiana's not that big...
Music, keep yourself hydrated and don't stuff yourself when you break to eat. Likewise, don't *forget* to break to eat.
today i get to drive five hours through washington PLUS the border wait, which will be +/- 3 hours. AWESOME.
mental tricks in church again, eh? the pope would be so disappointed in you, danny.
oh, except that your car isn't church... but still, the pope would be disappointed, because every place is sacred, right? you just can't ever get away from the holy spirit. i'm so glad i'm a jew.
@Osteo: once i get to I-65 the drive is around 4 hours or so, it's the 30 miles from chicago to 65 that is so terrible. it might take half an hour, but it's taken as long as 2. stupid construction.
@strangerbox: disappointing the church is what a good fallen catholic does with their time. and i'm pretty good at it. especially when it comes to things like that. i once got away from the holy spirit be trapping that damn dove in the linen closet. i'm sure that got me a few centuries of damnation, but it was totally worth it.
Damn, I know that drive all too well. Remember that Indiana lets you drive pretty fast, so take advantage of that. Of course, always keep in mind that you won't always be in Indiana.
@duck: it would be way better, but then id be stuck in louisville at my mom's place without a car. that would not be fun times.
@joe: oh yeah, no reason to go slower than 80 or 85 unless you're actually driving through indi

I think I'll have to start with some of the mental tricks I picked up while having to sit through my sister's college graduation mass.
