Good read, and amazing to fathom the cultural differences in play. I am surprised more young saudis don't leave the country forever.

@ Ipe - Seriously...as a 3rd generation immigrant who has rebuffed most chinese "traditions" these young Saudi men just baffle me. I knew they were kinda backward, but I had no idea how deeply ingrained it is.

It seems (and I have no statistics to view) that the youth-retention is at least on par with the 90% rate of the amish.
