I believe I have come up with the one sure thing that is found in all cultures. If I am right, then I will be considered a genius who discovered the one commonality that all of humanity can build upon. Peace will surely spontaneously break out with this insight; there IS something that we all have in common.

I thought it was wraps/burritos etc.
give me a list of friend dough tasties, please.
you can't mean all cultures throughout history. just modern right?
fried dough (and cooking in oil/fat in general) wouldn't have happened in the americas before Contact, I believe. so the ubiquitous "fry bread" of american indians in the U.S. is an early case of borrowing or idea diffusion, possibly from the sopapilla of New Mexico.
fry bread is a result of dislocation and the US gov providing only flour and water, basically
Two-Headed Boy:
Since I'm a modern boy living in a modern world, I'm talkin' only about NOW when we have ample oil to fry in (at least for the moment) and easily milled grain.

I await rebuttal.
redbecca: Wraps and/or burrito type things may be the clincher to world peace, but I believe at the moment that fried dough is more prevalent.
Unless we count dumplings/momos/perogis under the wrap.
Which we may decide to.
After perusing the list, I find major omissions include:
Russia
Thailand and associated Southeast Asian countries
Let me address Thailand first:
Tod man (Thai: ทอดมัน) - deep fried fishcake
Russia, so easy: Blintzes.
Well, there's also the fact that every poops and pees -- then again, no one wants to think that about anyone, in fact now we drop bombs and throw bullets instead of excretions to mark our territory. So that's actually lousy to build world peace off of.

And it is:
Fried dough.
