So what's on your summer reading list?
Replies
my amazon wish list is at something like 200 books. hopefully ill get through a chunk of it this summer.
The Origins of Postmodernity - Perry Anderson
Discipline & Punish - Michel Foucault
Patterson - William Carlos Williams
The Palm at the End of the Mind - Wallace Stevens
Complete Poems - Marianne Moore
The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
Digging deeper into existentialism, poetry, and the end of the world with de Beauvoir, Camus, Sartre, Plath, Orwell, Vonnegut, Orwell, Bradbury, Hesse, and Huxley.
I need to finish:
Up In The Old Hotel - Joseph Mitchell
We Were The Mulvaneys - Joyce Carol Oates
Then theres:
The Washington Story - Adam Langer
To Reign In Hell - Steven Brust
The rest of the Twilight series - Stephenie Meyer
The works of Jane Austen cos I have a nice anthology.
maybe some Shakespeare cos I'm taking a course in it next semester and I don't want to look doofy.
I'm sure ther're are plenty of others. I need to reread the final Harry Potter book in July. I think one year should be sufficient time to assuage my intense grief. I tried to reread it last September, but it made me tooooo sad.
the last 3 of the Star Wars: Legacy books, Something Wicked This Way Comes, finish off the Secrets of Dr. Taverner, The Artist's Way.
Past that, I'm not sure what else I'll be reading this summer, but I do know that I will be writing (hopefully) a lot.
