i have a thing for girls who sing...

i'm with you.
i saw this girl at Hotel Cafe last night and i was like "i...am...in love..."
kimberly - really pretty voice.
is there a specific style of singing you like a girl to sing?
i mean, are we talking about a sultry, raspy jazzy voice... or maybe a colorful, bold operatic tone... or a soft, creamy lullaby type?
nothing in particular. i mostly dig that standalone on stage broadway type of singing.
but i also like the girl with the guitar at Santa Monica promenade.
but then again i dig the Rachel Flotard style. opera not so much.
they don't even have to sing good (krissyjo) i just like it when they sing.
wow, "soft creamy lullaby"
i think i just left a soft creamy lullaby in my shorts
no, but for reals, that's quite the descriptive phraseology, there, darlin'!
this girl i saw last night just had kind of a whispery, pretty voice. reminds me of the band Azure Ray, if anyone's familiar w/that.
depends. for me anyway. i used to be very into female-fronted bands - Liz Phair, Tori Amos, Mazzy Star, The Cranberries. All of whom have albums that i consider favorites.
Regina Specktor is probably the female vocalist whose voice most intrigues me right now. it can be playful, powerful, beautiful, all at the same time.
but i have always had a bit of a, well, not so much a fantasy....but interest, i guess, in finding/dating a girl who could pick up a guitar and sing. something very sexy about that.
charlotte gainsbourg. not a great voice but she know how to use what she's got.
azure ray! yep yep. i'm not sure which is which but one had a voice to die for.
also the girls from the Softies and the girl from Dear Nora.
and and and
I sang some "Hit me with your best shot" at a karaoke night last week....it was a good time.

oh rilly...
