Help! Runaway dog!!!
Replies
@phro: I walked all over the neighborhood with MY Charlie, and nothing happened. Actually, I walked all over the neighborhood with Charlie and a squeaker toy while calling out to this dog. THE OTHER DOG IS ALSO NAMED CHARLIE. My poor dog is so confused.
I'm sort of mid-anxiety attack right now. I haven't had one of those in AGES. It's starting to rain, so I'm hoping that the rain will make him want to come home.
I am soooooo late for work right now. I really wish I could just take the day off. UGH!!!!
I've called in to let them know that I'm going to be late, but said that I was coming in. Tuesdays are sort of the day that I really just can't miss because I teach my drama class on that day, and there's no one who can really cover that for me.
I really want it to just start pouring down rain because I think that would force him to come home.
The animal shelter picked him up and called his owner. He's okay. I wound up missing most of work today. It actually made me incredibly happy about my job though, because when I got there, everyone gave me hugs and was so supportive. I was worried they'd all be pissed. Anyway, things are okay. PHEW!
I am exhausted.

Okay, so I'm dog-sitting for a neighbor. I had her dog in my backyard this morning, but my dog inside because they needed some down time from each other. I go to check on her dog, he is GONE. I have been out in the street for the past hour searching high and low. I went to his house, no. I drove around all the close neighborhood streets, no. I've been out in the streets with a squeaky toy calling his name and whistling, no.
WHAT DO I DO??? I really have to go to work. But I'm terrified he's going to get hit by a car or something and feel like it will be all my fault.
ADVICE, PLEASE!!!!
