That's where morphine comes in. Which is why it's best not to take morphine recreationally. Once a week at most.

Sorry to hear you are in such pain. Being in the UK and not covered by private healthcare, I know virtually nothing about the wide and wonderful world of pain. You only get cheap shit over here. I discovered this after mentioning the type of painkiller I was taking after my hernia operation to ~~~minx, who scoffed in disgust and suggested I should demand something better.
Incidentally, I am enjoying your shouty talk. It's like every sentence is infused with the concept "LISTEN TO ME! I AM IMPORTANT!"

Try ibuprofen. It works in a different way from narcotics, so you may not have blown your sensitivity to it.
I wasn't suggesting you aren't important. I have always enjoyed your hubris and I think it fitting that you should type with such grandeur.

OTC strength ibuprofen and OTC strength acetaminophen together are generally fine for the liver and kidneys, but when you're in the prescription strength range and there are narcotics involved, you need to be careful.
If the narcotics aren't working for you, quit them, completely, so you can safely take other stuff.
If all else fails, you could cure yourself the old fashioned way and get shit-faced drunk. Not good for all occasions but you can usually get some sleep.
I see you as more of a winner than a whiner.
How is your life aside from the crippling shoulder pain?

hey, I'm having the exact same problem. except I doubt my doctor will even GIVE me painkillers when I go see him tomorrow. Cause, you know, fracturing your spine means NOTHING when you have a history of painkiller abuse.
