For some reason, this makes me think of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

alaina & i & some other people went to this sort of folk dancing thing in swissvale, like square dancing, and there was a little girl there who had those heel-wheels that kids wear these days.

and that is how she danced, and so when you swing your partner round and round, her partner (dad i think) would sort of act as a pivot around which she'd trace a circle, etc.

we were thinking we should invent a kind of folk dance in which all the dancers, or at least all the women, are equipped with these things. and at certain points in the music, you don't hand off your partner to your neighbor, but just launch them across the room.
