Help me decide what should go on the cover of my chapbook!
One of my extended creative nonfiction essays is being published in a cheap, small scale production on my college campus. The design editor is working on the layout and design and asking me questions about cover art, font, etc, and I have no idea what to tell him.
My essay is about Shakespeare, so I'd think an old-style font would work. However, I have no idea what I want on the cover, because all the "official" portraits of Shakespeare are pretty wonky. I thought about a quill, but that's kind of generic.
So all you visual artists/design folks out there, help a girl out! Please. ^___^
This kind of stuff never happens to me.
On my way to the library this afternoon, my Shakespeare professor stopped me. She asked for a hard copy of the paper I wrote for her last quarter because she liked it so much. She said that in all of her 35 years teaching college Shakespeare, no one wrote a paper similar to mine. WOW. I was so flattered, I could have cried. I worked so hard on that paper and I was so sure it was going to go over like a lead balloon. Rejoice!
let's talk about Shakespeare while I write my final Shakespeare essay.
I'm writing an essay on how Duke Orsino differs from the normal depictions of rulers in Shakespeare's earlier work (think Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo and Juliet).
Do you think Orsino lets his lovesickness over Olivia get in the way of ruling his land fairly and justly? I keep waffling and I'm not sure.
Also, I'm procrastinating from actually writing the essay. Can't you tell?
